What do I learned from my inquiry and action

I have learned a lot of thing to help the world especially in helping Indonesia. For the first inquiry that was how to utilize waste and change them into useful stuff, we have showed it by doing our experiments. The second inquiry was to be more attentive toward the environmental issue around us. We have also used them to tell the people around us that we need to save Indonesia. The third and the last part were to take part in saving the earth. We had save the world by start to use the used things into a useful stuff. Actually I have no time to do the action. My plan was to go to the place where the people from the traditional market lives. I wanted to tell them about my experiment.

Change our performence

My group and I decided to make a song from What a Wonderful World. We change it because it was not realy good and sometimes people didn't understand what are we doing. In the song of the What a Wonderful World, we change some of the lyric because some of them are not related to our inquiry into. It was also some of them are not related to our exhibition

The Second Inquiry

The second inquiry was my experiment. In my experiment, I made a bag from the unused plastic cover. The following are some steps to make the bag:

Collect the unused plastic covers; collect the unused plastic cover from your house or other places and select the good ones.
Wash and clean the plastic covers; bring the plastic bags to your house and wash at the washing places and clean the both sides of the plastic bags.
Leave them in the water for one day to make it clean;
Clean them again for one more time to make sure that the both side of plastic bag has been cleansed;
After that you may dry them for about one hour;
Check the both side of the plastic cover and make sure that they have dried. if they have dried, bring them to the tailor man;
Meanwhile you may design the model of the bag that you wish to make from the plastic cover.
Ask the tailor man to make a bag which uses your design.
The next day, the bag is ready to use!

The reason why I chose this experiment for my second inquiry because it relates to my group’s topic Waste. This will help the world and people to reuse the wasted plastic covers even though they are from a wasted and unused stuff. Sometimes people do not want to reuse the wasted and unused stuffs even though many useful things can be created from them such as the garbage can be used for the fertilizer, used straws can be recycled to be new straw, used clothing for napkin, and many other things.

The only thing that we have to do is we need to be creative and find a new method to make a new thing from the used stuffs, and start with the small things. With this idea, we will be part of the world that cares for the world. It means you care for the world and you can start to make them real with small things. My experiment, for instance using the wasted plastic covers and change them into a bag that can be used for daily needs. With this we can help the earth clean and the earth will not be covered with wasted or unused plastics because the wasted and unused plastic covers are reused as a bag and for any other idea.

Oksigen air Toba jauh dari normal

SUMMARY:

The summary of that article was that the oksigen in Toba Lake, Sumatra Utara is not normal as usual. The professor said that the poeple around the Toba Lake was throwing garbage around the lake. if they still throwing it again the Toba lake would not have oksigen in Toba lake.

The performence,,

* How does it help the audience to understand about your inquiry?

We are going to show one of the example from waste. We decided to Jasper's topic about compos and show the way how it is could be like that.

* How can you show your talents?

We can use our talents when we make the decorations for the performence for example the poster for the bookstore and the company. We can also use a background color so it is could be interesting to the people that see.

* The purpose, is your message clear?

I think so, because it is not that hard to do to make them, maybe only hard to do the action because it pentomime storyboard.

* Consider the length of your performance?

Maybe it is about 5 to 10 minutes, because it is can be long cause some of the character need to change there costumes. They need to change costume because some of them be 2 people.

The First Inquiry

The first inquiry our group has made is regarding how to utilize wasted stuffs and change them into useful stuffs and then used by people. It means the wasted stuffs such as rubbish are changed into a useful stuff and people can use it for their daily needs without any bad feeling caused by its original material. The following is the experiences of the group members when they conducted their experiences.
Tiffany collected the wasted plastic cover. She then cleaned, washed, and dried them. After cleaning them, Tiffany chose the good one and brought it the tailor. The tailor was asked by her to make a good bag from the cleaned wasted plastic cover. It took about three days from collecting the plastic cover until the plastic bag is ready to be used.
Jasper collected the dried leaves and used them for natural fertilizer. These were put around the trees or plants in his house and at the school. It was proven that the trees and plants were looking better than before. It took about three days for him to prove that the trees and plants are looking better after he fertilized them.
Tasya made a flower from papers. The wasted papers were collected by her and put them in the blender and mix them together. After the paper has been mixed each other, she put the blended paper on a small wire and designed it to be a beautiful flower.
David made a biomass stove from sawdust, cookie can, etc. He collected the dust produced when wood is sawed, cookie can and other stuffs. He then designed it as a stove.
The second inquiry of our group has made is regarding our attention toward the environmental issue around us. It means our care ness, concern and attention to the environment. The simple example that is difficult to perform is to not throw the garbage in any places except its determined location or bin, not cut trees or plants haphazardly as it can cause flood and landslide.
The group members intensively asked their neighbors, friends, brothers and sisters from the whole families to not throw the garbage randomly and put them in the bin or location that is determined for it. The group members believe that their tasks will be of benefit to their environment even though the size of their tasks is too small.
The third inquiry of our group is to take part in saving the earth. It means some tasks have to be done for saving the planet energy such as electric power, water, etc. Saving power and water for instance are very important. If the electric devices such as television, radio and dvd players, computer, etc, are not used, their electric power must be switched off in order to save the energy. This also applies to the use of water. The tap water must be switched off when the water is not used. In order to implement these tasks, the member of the group told these important issues and messages to their families, friends, neighbors, etc. and they believe that these will be of benefit to people and ultimately save the planet energy.
